Ergot has been a blight upon humanity since time eternal. Following the poor and destitute, Ergot and its horrible aftermath has for millennia left a trail of death, including the ravenous 14th Century breakout of St Anthony’s Fire.

However at the turn of the 20th Century Ergots medicinal properties were discovered. Dassel Minnesota, a rural farming community played a crucial role in Ergots transition from blight to blessing.
