Swenson Media Group is a project based media company focusing primarily on contemporary motion media communications. Brad Swenson has been active in arts his entire life starting first in theater at the age of 7 and appearing in musicals such as Guys and Dolls, The Wiz and Bye, Bye Birdie.

Common Verse and Bread was written and directed by Brad in his freshman year of college. After finishing his degree in Visual Communications from the Minneapolis College of Communication Arts, Swenson packed up an old ’71 Cadillac and headed to Alaska.

After 8 long years of cutting his teeth on anything video, Brad met Alaska film making legend William Bacon III. Mr. Bacon tutored Swenson on the finer techniques of editing while creating “Tibet a moment in time” Bacon’s beautiful portrait of the Tibetan people and their struggle against Chinese occupation.

Shortly after the documentaries release Swenson was recruited by Munich Germany’s engineering genius Dr Matthias Zahn to join FAST Multimedia AG. After a brief start on the Technical Engineering team, Swenson was promoted to International Product Manager for a new line of Professional editing systems.

Swenson was responsible for the global launch of purple, silver and blue, a complete line of Digital editing systems all based on the user friendly and editor designed User Interface, Liquid.

In October of 2001 after the release of the full product line Swenson helped FAST sell the Editing Assets to Pinnacle Systems Inc (PCLE) of Mountain View CA. Swenson still works with the engineering team in Munich as a consultant on a limited basis now and uses Liquid Blue and now Liquid HD for all editing at Swenson Media Group.

Swenson still maintains a international clientele and recently completed a 20th anniversary film for FAST premiering in Munich on 11/11/05.

On July 4, 2003 Swenson crossed the US/Canadian boarder at Beaver Creek and has not looked back. Shortly after returning Bacon and Swenson reunited and began work on their next film, check out the In Production section of this site for more information.

Swenson Media Group is a project based studio. We only work with projects that move us, if its not a good fit we will tell you. SMG is driven to perfection and perfection requires involvement in the complete process and it requires heart.

In 2005 we added new technology, multitrack audio production and HD multi-format editing. We keep our tool box on the cutting edge so yo don’t have to go out of house, for anything.
